BOOK RELEASE: Found for a reason by Carina Zunino
Wednesday 30.8, 5–7 pm

Mellanrummet/Malmö Konsthall’s Bookshop

In the book Found for a Reason the Danish artist Carina Zunino invited the seven artists to reflect visually on the title and the theme of the book; to find something unexpected and to experience it as valuable. The invited artists are Jytte Rex, Sophia Kalkau, Katja Bjørn, Tove Storch, Vibeke Mencke Nielsen, Vibe Bredahl, and Ann Lislegaard.

About the idea behind the project Found for a Reason Carina Zunino says:
"Through the last year I have been collecting stones on the beach. The stones have different sizes, shapes and surfaces. My eyes spotted them between thousands of other stones and they appealed to me in a special way, I just had to pick them up and keep them. Each stone made me think of specific artworks made by seven different artists and I started wondering why I suddenly felt such a strong connection to these works of art and to these stones. I gave each artist a stone from the beach and kept one to myself.”
